Phoenix blessing

This will all sound odd:
The painting course I'm on turned out to be a lot about, well, a kind of spirituality. And that lot. The subject of this painting is the "third eye" - more digestibly known as the forehead chakra. The instructor talks about the subject, mentioning the attributes of said chakra AND the sentence "blue bird Phoenix drinking from a well of blood" - this well of blood being the underbelly chakra of sexual energies BUT I immediatly saw that well of blood on the forehead, as the third eye. We then meditated/reflected. I'm not a very alternative person, but I do have a good imagination. This meditation stuff makes my head full of pictures I want to keep.

This phoenix springs from the bellybutton in trails of fire, and touches the forehead of this ... Nubian princess. To bless her, I'd say. (I'm aware it also looks a bit like it's trying to peck out her eye, but that is not the intention)

Acrylics on cardboard. Bits of corrugated cardboard and the knobby paper from chocolate boxes used.
